Making streets safer for women.
We are Women's Street Watch UK — a grassroots network of trained volunteers who work on city streets at night to keep women safe. Designed and delivered by women for women, our peer-led approach specifically targets sexual harassment, spiking, and gender-based violence. Proudly grassroots. Fiercely feminist. Radically compassionate.

What We Do
Direct action. Real impact.
Designed and delivered by women for women, our peer-led model specifically targets sexual harassment, spiking, and gender-based violence. We don't just talk about making streets safer — we show up. Every weekend night, our volunteers are working hard on the streets, making a tangible difference.
Night Shifts
Trained volunteers work on city streets on weekend nights, offering support, safe walks, and a visible presence that acts as a direct deterrent to predatory behaviour.
Welfare Support
We check in on anyone who appears vulnerable — offering water, phone charging, help finding friends, or calling a taxi.
Training & Education
Every volunteer completes a rigorous training programme covering safeguarding, de-escalation, first aid, and legal awareness.
Community Advocacy
We bridge the gap between patrons, venue door staff, emergency services, and local transport networks — campaigning for systemic change to create genuinely safer night-time economies.
Start your own Women's Street Watch UK chapter
Women's Street Watch UK is a movement, not an organisation. Any woman can set up her own regional chapter. All you need is a couple of friends, and we have an entire chapter training programme to support you every step of the way.
